There are just some lines that China is not willing to cross when it comes to music. Chinese websites have until September 15 to take down 100 songs deemed too offensive

Cher and Lady Gaga are in the process of recording “The Greatest Thing”. That’s a whole lot of diva for one song. Gaga co-produced the song with RedOne and it was given to Cher to record. Clearly the legend is happy about the collaboration, as she tweeted “Can’t wait till GaGa puts her voice on “The Greatest Thing” SHE WILL ROCK IT SO FKNG HARD!”
It was reported earlier this week that Lady Gaga’s Youtube account had been suspended “due to multiple or severe violations of Youtube’s copyright policy”. Ummm…ok? According to Time Out Tokyo, her posting of footage from her SMAP x SMAP performance was the issue. The 10 minute clip features Mama Monster performing songs from her current opus Born This Way. Supposedly, the LadyGaga Official channel was removed earlier this week after the social site received a copyright infringement claim from Media Interactive, Inc., who seems to be the watchdog agency for Japanese content on the site. But good news monsters, seems all is not lost, Youtube has come to their senses.
